In some States, dentists have to obtain informed consent from patients before using amalgam on them.
In other States, notices of dangerous dental procedures have to be displayed at dental clinics, so that patients are informed & can ask for alternative materials or procedures.
In many States, dentists are not allowed to use amalgam on children under 8 years of age. In other States, a child has to turn18 before amalgam is allowed to be placed in his teeth. Amalgam is not allowed in women under age 45, nursing mothers & pregnant women in many States.
Dental Insurers will have to provide insurance for alternatives to amalgam. (Some)
"Gag orders" of the American Dental Association are to be outlawed. Dentists can now discuss the pros & cons of alternative treatments without having their licences revoked.
In many States, dentists must install Dental Amalgam Separators in their offices so that they do not pollute their sewers. (Sewers drain scrapped amalgam into rivers which will ultimately poison the fishes & the people eating those fishes with mercury.)
